About me

About Me

Hi, I’m Katie, a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S) and more than 10 years of experience supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments. My background includes working in behavioral health, crisis intervention, inpatient mental health, emergency services, and clinical leadership.

I believe therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I’ll meet you where you are and work with you to better understand what’s getting in the way of feeling like yourself.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, self-esteem, trauma, crisis situations, and the many emotional challenges that can come with major changes in life. I also enjoy helping people navigate feeling overwhelmed, setting boundaries, improving communication, and finding healthier ways to cope.

As a therapist, I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from different evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, personality, and circumstances. I want our work together to be practical and meaningful—not simply talking about problems, but helping you develop tools and insight that you can actually use in your everyday life.

Whether you’re struggling with something that has been weighing on you for years or you’re simply feeling overwhelmed by what life is asking of you right now, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as you work toward the life you want.

My Approach

My style is supportive, conversational, and genuine. I’ll provide a safe space to talk openly while also challenging you when appropriate and helping you identify patterns, strengths, and practical steps forward. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you—not judge you or tell you how you “should” live.

Who I Work With

I enjoy working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, life transitions, burnout, and other challenges that can make everyday life feel overwhelming.

If you’re ready to take that first step, I’d be honored to work with you.
