About me

I am an experienced trauma counselor with experience working with children, teens, and adults.

I graduated from Barry University with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. I am currently a licensed mental health counselor. I have always wanted to work with children (but even more so when I realized the impact that divorce and domestic violence had on children). That was the moment when I realized I wanted to work with children/teens that have faced any kind of trauma. I believe working with young children helps them build resilience from an early age and furthermore helps them become more resilient adults. I also love working with adults who have been through trauma(s).
I am trained in the TIR (trauma incident reduction) model which helps clients process their trauma through a form of exposure therapy. This technique is brief and helps lessen the charge from each traumatic incident. I use solution focused therapy to help clients reach their goals. I am also person centered and will create a safe space for each client.
You are not alone, everyone has gone through some form of their trauma in their life and it is never too late to seek help.
