About me
I am a LCSW with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I work with adults and teens 15-18 years old. I specialize in the areas of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, disrupted attachment and mindfulness. I strive to use my skills to assist my client to cultivate growth in their lives. I am seeking to assist others on their path and to use and find creative solutions that work for my clients.
I am passionate about guiding individuals on their journey to balance, mindfulness, and joy. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations and addressing a wide range of mental health challenges. This journey has reinforced my belief that each person's path to well-being is unique and deserves a personalized approach.
My therapeutic style is eclectic, drawing from various modalities to create a tailored experience for every client. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply looking to enhance your overall well-being, my approach is designed to meet you where you are. By integrating techniques from different therapeutic models, I aim to provide the most effective and compassionate care possible.
I believe that life is about finding balance and learning to navigate our paths with mindfulness and joy. In our sessions, we will work together to uncover your strengths, explore new perspectives, and develop practical strategies to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
I have been practitioner of mindfulness for myself for the last 15 years. I have taught mindfulness to 4 year old to 80 year old clients. One of my purposes of using this type of therapy in my practice is to assist my clients in finding some peace and contentment in their daily lives even in times of difficulties. I find practicing balances and grounds me and my clients who choose to take up the practice. It works for trauma related, anxiety and depressive symptoms.
I have been trained in multiple disciplines, including dual diagnosis, children, parenting and adults. I use eclectic modalities in my practice including CBT, Trauma- based therapy, body-mind therapies and mindfulness. I am certified as a facilitator for MBSR-T (Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction for Teens).
