About me
I am passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to unpack their emotional pain and begin their journey toward healing and peace. I actively listen to my clients' concerns with empathy and compassion, offering personalized coping strategies to assist them.
I have over 10 years in the mental health field helping adults and couples, both military and civilian. I'm licensed in VA, but will be part of the Counseling Compact, which will allow me to practice in over 30 other states. I also hold a certificate in Domestic Violence training.
I regularly incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with a strong emphasis on mindfulness, helping clients learn to regulate their emotions and stay grounded in the present moment. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals identify and reframe irrational thoughts that contribute to unhealthy behaviors.
