About me
Karen L. Katunich Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in group private practice, and as a Senior Clinician in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Mood Disorders Clinic. She has had over 30 years' experience with diverse populations. Dr. Katunich has provided psychological care for adolescents, adults, and seniors and now specializes in the treatment of mood disorders.
Dr. Katunich received her doctorate at Virginia Commonwealth University and her internship training at the Pittsburgh Consortium-VAMC. Most recently she has been Director or Psychotherapy Training at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. She has over 30 years' experience with diverse populations in multiple public and private clinical settings.
Dr. Katunich's clinical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral.
As a former Air Force Officer she first began extensive teaching experience at the US Air Force Academy and has since taught at the undergraduate and graduate level at local colleges and universities.
