About me
My objective is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work together toward improving your overall well-being.
About Me
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring an empathetic, compassionate approach to psychotherapy, fostering an environment of non-judgment where my clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings openly. My therapeutic method encourages clients to develop self-understanding, enhance their resilience, and navigate the path to the life changes they desire.
Experience
My qualifications include both a bachelor's and a master’s degree in social work, coupled with over two decades of professional experience. My work encompasses diverse environments including shelters, day program centers, state agencies, schools, and psychiatric facilities, as well as providing in-home counseling. I have offered support to various demographics such as adults, children, families, and the elderly.
Specialties
As a certified clinical trauma professional, my expertise lies in supporting those dealing with issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, infertility, substance abuse, race-based trauma stress, and work/life imbalances that interfere with their day-to-day lives. My therapeutic toolkit incorporates various approaches and techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), psychotherapy, trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused brief therapy. I'm dedicated to guiding my clients on their journey toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
Hobbies:
Outside my professional life, I greatly enjoy traveling to various destinations and immersing myself in different cultures. I have a love for music and find myself often lost in the melodies and rhythm, which brings a sense of relaxation. Dancing and skating are activities I enjoy in my spare time, keeping me active and engaged. Spending quality time with my friends and family is also something I deeply cherish. Feel free to reach out if you are seeking support in any of these areas.
