About me
I am a trauma informed clinician and specialize in family work. I am an advocate of intentional parenting practices and support clients to create authentic responses to themselves and others in the here and now so they can heal and move forward from generational trauma. I believe that therapy is about helping clients to create the positive changes that they want so they can live more authentically, identify and work toward achieving their goals, and nurture healthy relationships in order to create meaning and purposeful action in their lives.
I have extensive experience working with individuals, children, couples, and families in community, educational, and private practice settings. I use an integrative approach and work with clients to determine the best approach and treatment plan to guide them on the path of healing and self discovery. I am EMDR trained and incorporate these techniques as well as DBT, EFT, ACT, and others to best meet the client's needs.
I believe that in the safety and trust of the therapeutic relationship clients can gain the support needed to establish a connection with themselves to create peace and harmony in their lives. With self awareness, emotional regulation strategies, and self care, clients can find the freedom to manage their lives in vibrant, healthy and constructive ways.
