About me

You deserve a therapist that is well trained in your life experience. I focus exclusively on grief and loss that accompanies the loss of a loved one, significant life changes and health issues.

Sometimes, life is more intense than ever expected. You deserve a therapist that is well trained in your life experience. I focus exclusively on grief - grief accompanies the loss of a loved one, pregnancy loss, caregiving, moving, changes in health. divorce, parenting and empty nesting to name a few. There is hope to find your way. Telehealth sessions and self-guided bereavement programs are offered to lift barriers to quality support and create life balance. Chartreuse Center was created with you in mind, with extra flexibility build into the services. As I like to say, you have a friend in grief.

Grief work is a tender type of counseling. I honor your grief development - there are many RIGHT ways to grieve. I'm here to help you find yours. I approach each session through the lens of grief and Adlerian theory, recognizing that grief and loss touches many aspects of life far beyond the emotions. Together, we explore the feelings, the challenges, the learnings, the adjustments as you navigate this new way of living.

Counseling and Art Therapy are a second career for me. After caring for a loved one with their fight with Esophageal Cancer, I made the decision to return to school. I graduated from Adler University in 2009. I worked within hospice bereavement departments and eventually opened Chartreuse Center in 2015. By 2018, telehealth and online programs became available to expand support. My clients graduate from grief counseling with tools that can be used in other areas of life and know they are welcome to return when secondary or new losses occur. I'm no stranger to grief and I know there is hope.

I'm a real person...I grew my family through adoption after unsuccessful infertility treatments. I have two amazing children, two wonderful dogs, and two sweet parakeets. My fur babies, Teddy and Ralphie, sometimes visit telehealth sessions or you may hear the parakeets, Aria and Skylar, sing (or squawking) in the background. Every summer, I try to garden and I'm great with growing cucumbers, tomatoes and herbs. Otherwise, I'm a work in progress. I enjoy my faith, going to farmers markets with my kids, hiking, and cooking with my daughter.

Let's talk, let's get to know each other, and together, we can navigate your grief or loss.
