I am a clinical social worker who helps empower people to overcome grief, life changes, and anxiety.

Sometimes in life, it is hard to see the way forward. You may be a younger adult, or facing changes at midlife that make you question your direction. You may be grieving a major loss. Or you may feel like an outsider, whether due to having moved, rejection sensitivity, or a seemingly permanent black sheep status. My goal is to help you rediscover your strengths and reframe your problems in ways that reduce shame and anxiety, leaving you feeling stronger and clearer on how to proceed.
Generational trauma and family dysfunction are areas of both theoretical, and experiential understanding in my practice. Grief, spirituality and interfaith issues within a judeo-christian or more nature-centered perspective. I am trained in DBT, as well as exposure therapy for trauma triggers and anxiety. I offer cultural competency with latino cultures.
I'm aware of the pitfalls of both the overly clinical, and overly familiar therapy styles and try to steer a course that is thoughtful of professionalism and boundaries, but also refreshingly frank at times. The most important work is within yourself and your life; I aim to be a helpful and compassionate consultant.
