About me
Working together, we will help you clarify relationship challenges and move toward acceptance and behavioral change, through marriage counseling, relational or individual therapy.
Behavioral health means managing what life brings you, enabling you to respond rather than react.
CONSIDER: what if you could:
* Navigate your daily life with more calm for yourself and your relationships?
* Address and work through - rather than avoid - the challenges each day can bring?
* Be effective in improving your relationship with your spouse, partner, children or yourself?
IF YOU'RE READING THIS, you have:
*taken an important first step
*gained insight about getting help
*probably wondered if therapy can help
Our work together offers "competency-based" approaches to individual and relationship health and well-being. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Traumatologist (CT), experienced in trauma-informed work with couples, families and individuals at all stages of life. I also hold certification as a Pain Reprocessing Therapist (PRT).
PHILOSOPHY
* "Competency-based therapy" stands on the belief that clients hold answers within themselves, and therapy asks good questions to help clients increase their understanding and awareness.
* People's beliefs, thoughts and feelings create the context for self-awareness and acceptance.
* Relationships are influenced by individuals' self-awareness and acceptance of self and others.
*Positive communication consists of congruence between "intention and perception."
Finding the Right Therapist for YOU:
This may take some research but is well worth the effort!
When possible, start with direct contact to make sure you feel comfortable with the provider and to ask any questions you may have.
You can easily reach me by telephone, text or email - and I return calls and messages BY THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY:

We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you've done so far to address your concerns, and what you'd like to work on.
My office is in Manassas, near the intersection of Route 66 and Sudley Road (Route 234) - Exit 47. I also offer tele-video sessions, if that is your preference or need.
I accept TRICARE as a Certified/Out-of-Net provider - and submit your claims for you.
For all other insurance, I am out-of-network and will provide you with the paperwork you need to submit for reimbursement, (as permitted by your insurance company).
I hope to hear from you.
