About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADC) in the state of New Hampshire. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and other evidence based practices. For over 20 years I have worked with adults facing a multitude of challenges that have included trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, and involvement within the criminal justice system. I have experience working with people of different socio-economic backgrounds, cultural affiliations, religions, gender and sexual orientations. My licensure is based in New Hampshire and I offer individual therapy to clients across the state.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, strength based, solution focused and integrative to meet the client where they are at in the moment. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where clients can openly explore their needs and create meaningful goals for themselves. I include several evidence-based techniques tailored to fit each individual's needs such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness Based Meditation. Through open dialogue and active listening, I help clients articulate their needs, values, and desired outcomes. Together, we establish specific, measurable, and achievable goals that will help to facilitate progress toward positive life changes.
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for my approach, making sure you feel comfortable and supported from the start. I'll ask about your background that includes a personal history to get a comprehensive understanding of your situation and what you would like to gain from therapy. Together, we'll establish a comfortable pace and build a foundation of trust and collaboration as we work towards your well-being and personal growth. I am passionate about helping clients live healthier more fulfilling lives and believe healing is not just about addressing the symptoms you may be struggling with but also understanding the deeper aspects of who you are as a whole person. We will focus on creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, validated, and understood.
