I am a compassionate therapist who truly believes that life gives us second chances and each experience, no matter how hard it can be, is an opportunity to heal and grow as human beings.
I am Juan Padilla, LMHC, NCC. I have worked for the past eight years, seeing clients with various mental health issues, and I specialize in working with clients with trauma disorders after earning my counseling degree from Texas A&M University. Also, I worked for 11 years as a bilingual teacher in Mesquite, Texas, with Spanish-speaking students (2007-2018), and as a school counselor at Perkins Elementary in Des Moines, IA (2019-2021). My current duties include screening for and diagnosing mental health disorders and providing therapy to individuals of different ages and immigration backgrounds.
