About me
I am a Licensed Mental Heath Counselor and have significant experience with client's who have experienced trauma in their lives. I work with children and adults. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Additionally, I have a Doctorate of Psychology with the focus on preventing compassion fatigue and burnout in helping professional and am a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional.
Let us live our lives to the fullest! I strongly believe that our thoughts, feelings, and circumstances do not define us. Although we may not be able to control our outside world, we can find the place inside of ourselves that holds peace and joy. We have the power to re-create ourselves and learn our true self-worth. Because trauma is held in the body and senses, I believe it is important to use methods of therapy that help to access these areas. Using a holistic approach with clients to include mindfulness based therapy, DBT, ACT, along with body and sensory related modalities can help to heal the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. I provide both in-person and teletherapy to client's in Florida as well as teletherapy to clients Virginia. I also offer supervision to residents in counseling in both Florida and Virginia.
