About me
Hello and welcome. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Upside Behavioral Health. I provide general mental health counseling for teens (13+) and adults with a specialization in treating Substance Use Disorders (SUDs). You do not need to have a substance use issue to see me, but I do have personal experience in navigating those specific challenges. I offer telehealth and in-person sessions at the office in Northeast Mesa. In addition to teens & adults, I see couples and families on a case-by-case basis. I employ an eclectic approach to treatment based on individual need, however I typically utilize interventions from CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing. Change is hard. The results are worth it provided you're willing to put in the work!
In a nutshell, I help teens and adults navigate life's challenges by providing perspectives they might never have thought of otherwise. I don't tell anyone what to do, but I can provide suggestions and recommendations based on strengths. I tend to take a pragmatic, data-driven approach to counseling: let's identify the core issues, create a plan, and get you to where you want to be.
