My focus
I have found that my style and approach work well with Adults who are 18 and above, and I also work with LGBTQIA+, people with addictive disorders. anxiety, and depression.
My communication style
My communication style tends to be laid back, which utilizes a person-centered approach that is collaborative with my clients during therapy.
My journey to mental healthcare
Like many in this field, my own experience in therapy was a major influence in terms of my wanting a career as a therapist. The therapeutic process can be such a powerful tool in terms of personal growth and leading a successful life
My goals for you
I am of the belief that goals are crucial in terms of the therapeutic experience. Collaboration is important when setting realistic goals with clients. My role is to help guide clients in setting attainable goals that are theirs.
A bit about my approach to therapy
My approach

While my approach to therapy is a cognitive behavioral approach, I believe therapy is best when tailored to the specific needs of the client. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), a person-centered form of therapy.
What you can expect from our first session
My first session with you

Session one is so important because it says the tone of the therapist/ client relationship. I typically start off with a few minutes of “the business” side - confidentiality, messaging, etc. We will then spend time discussing what brought the client to therapy, what the client’s goals are, and what the client wants from therapy. I will start gathering information on such topics as family of origin, medical history, any history with medications, and substance use history. The aim is to get as clear a picture as possible of the client‘s individual needs
