About me
I work with a range of age groups, backgrounds, and needs. Since 2008, I have supported preteens and teens in treatment centers, schools, and communities, and have provided outpatient counseling to kids, adults, and couples needing support with individual and relational struggles. I am experienced assisting individuals with anger/behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, and trauma. Furthermore, I work often with individuals with social anxiety, OCD, and personality disorders. Lastly, my history with collegiate athletics has enabled me to support athletes of all ages in dealing with stress, pressure, and grief.
I utilize and have received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and use this for a wide range of struggles, especially anxiety and OCD, and have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for struggles such as depression and personality disorders. I utilize concepts of the Gottman Method with couples, and am happy to incorporate Christian faith as desired.
Life, along with joy and fulfillment, contains a great deal of pain and hardship. Our relationship with our painful thoughts and feelings can increase our ability to live meaningfully in the midst of them, or become stuck and add to our own suffering. I desire to walk with you and help you find comfort, hope, and strength in the midst of your struggle.
