About me
I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner dedicated to helping adults and adolescents manage depression, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma with compassionate, evidence-based care.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that helps individuals achieve emotional balance and improved quality of life. I work with adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and related challenges. My approach blends medication management with supportive therapy, focusing on the unique needs and goals of each client.
At Collaborative Mental Health of Carrboro, PLLC, I believe treatment works best when it is collaborative. I take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and partner with you in developing a plan that is both practical and effective. Whether you are beginning your journey to mental wellness or continuing ongoing care, my goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where healing and growth can occur.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my role combines aspects of both therapy and medicine. Unlike a therapist, I am licensed to prescribe and manage psychiatric medications while also offering supportive therapy. Unlike many physicians, my training emphasizes a holistic approach—considering the physical, emotional, and social aspects of health—so that treatment is comprehensive and personalized. This unique combination allows me to help clients with both the medical and therapeutic sides of mental health care.
To make care more accessible, I offer secure virtual appointments. Meeting online allows clients to connect from the comfort and privacy of their own homes, reducing travel time and removing barriers to consistent care. Many clients find that this flexibility helps them stay more engaged in treatment and fit mental health care into their busy lives.
For payment, I accept all major insurance plans as well as self-pay. Clients who choose self-pay may take advantage of a 25% discount when payment is made on the same day of service. This flexible approach helps ensure that high-quality mental health care is available and affordable.
Together, we can explore strategies to manage symptoms, strengthen resilience, and support meaningful change.
