About me
I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and couples, helping them navigate life’s challenges and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. My goal is to provide support, guidance, and encouragement as individuals and families grow and thrive.
Hello, I'm Joelnika (Joy) Martin. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), under the supervision of Dr. Becki Welsh, PhD, LPCS, RPT. I am a wife and mother to seven children ranging in age from 14 to 24. As you can imagine, my home is always buzzing with energy and excitement! I was born in Puerto Rico, but I spent most of my life in South Florida, and I’m fluent in Spanish.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and my masters in Clinical Mental Health from Colorado Christian University. After graduation, I worked at a shelter for homeless youth and single mothers, which ignited my passion for making a meaningful impact in my community. I enjoy working with teens, young adults, and couples. My heart is to help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and foster deeper connections.
