About me
I am a Therapist (LPCC). I work with couples, individuals and teens.
I work with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, loneliness, and many other struggles in life.
I practice from a psychodynamic (looking at the root issue), and IFS approach.
Individual Therapy
Why go to counseling? Why therapy? Life gets busy, life gets complicated, life gets unmanageable.
Sometime life beats you up. Sometimes relationships do not work out. Sometimes you are left feeling defeats and alone.
Counseling is a place where you are able to get back in touch with yourself.
Anxiety, depression, loneliness, exhaustion, the feeling of drowning; these are all aspects that counseling seeks to heal.
Counseling offers healing. Counseling offers connection. Counseling grows healthy boundaries. Counseling brings wholeness.
I practice from a psychodynamic approach looking to get at the root of what it going on. I use therapeutic modalities like IFS, attachment, psychoanalytic and others.
Couples therapy
Does it feel like you do not know how to talk to your parter, how to connect anymore?
Does it feel like the wounds that have built up in your relationship and healing does not seem impossible?
I believe that healing is possible. I believe that reconnection is possible. I have seen couples come back from the brink of divorce.
Healing takes work, and it will not be easy, but it will be worth it.
Couples therapy focuses on the relationship, family dynamics, family of origin, conflict patterns with the hopes of healing. This lens is looks as modalities such as attachment, IFS, psychodynamic,
Realizing where we are is not supposed to bring us guilt and shame, but rather hope of where we get to go.
Teen Therapy
Teens often feel lost, anxious, misunderstood, depressed. This often comes up as they are learning to understand who they are and who they are becoming.
I have worked with teens in various capacities for the past 10+ years.
Teens often feel like they do not have a voice or space to process. Therapy provides a place for them to feel safe and secure as they process what is going on in their life.
I also ask to meet with the parents once a month to get a better understanding of what is going on in the teens life.
