About me

With over 35 years of professional experience, I offer comprehensive therapy services tailored to individuals, couples, and families navigating various life challenges. Specializing in areas such as ADHD in children and adults, communication difficulties, infidelity recovery, healing from narcissistic relationships, anxiety, depression, fertility-related concerns, grief, and family of origin issues, I provide a supportive virtual environment where clients can explore and address their emotional and behavioral struggles. My approach integrates practical tools with empathetic guidance, empowering clients to align their values with tangible life goals and cultivate healthier relationships.

Hi. I am Jody Weiner Davis, a highly trained therapist specializing in individual, couple, and family therapy, with over 35 years of experience. My professional journey began in New York City, where I worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient psychiatric clinics and hospitals. I have also maintained a private practice in both New York City and New Jersey. Trained and certified at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, I offer assistance to individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges across the lifespan.

My educational background includes a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work. I am a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Throughout my career, I have facilitated numerous workshops on various topics related to individuals, couples, and families, both locally and as a private supervisor.

In therapy, I provide a supportive, non-judgmental, interactive, and uplifting environment, drawing from over three decades of clinical experience. I believe in collaboration, offering homework assignments to reinforce insights gained in sessions. Therapy, to me, is a joint effort aimed at transforming areas of frustration, pain, anger, and discomfort into opportunities for growth and change through a positive, proactive approach.

In addition to my private practice, I have expanded my work to assist couples through the divorce process as a Divorce Mediator. With advanced training in mediation and membership in professional associations such as the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators and the Academy of Professional Mediators, I offer comprehensive support to couples seeking a respectful, child-focused approach to divorce.

I also serve as a child specialist and parent coach in collaborative divorce processes, emphasizing the importance of minimizing the impact of divorce on children. In these challenging times, I offer virtual counseling and mediation sessions to ensure accessibility and continuity of care.
