About me
I'm a bilingual (Spanish/English) social worker with 19 years of experience, including work in custody and parenting conflict cases and six years serving communities in Arizona. I specialize in trauma — including sexual abuse, domestic violence, abandonment, and attachment — as well as grief and anger management, with a particular focus on children and adolescents, though I work with adults too. My sessions feel like a real conversation, not a clinical checklist, and I meet clients exactly where they are. Because high-quality therapy shouldn't be reserved for a limited few, I offer sliding-scale rates for anxiety, depression, and life transitions. A la comunidad hispana: hablo su idioma y entiendo su cultura — aquí encontrará un espacio seguro, sin juicios, y me encantaría hablar con usted.
Asking for help takes more courage than people give it credit for, and I don't take that lightly. I'm a bilingual (Spanish/English) social worker with 19 years of experience and a current doctoral student in Clinical Social Work. My background includes work in custody and parenting conflict cases, six years serving Native American communities in Arizona, and specialties in trauma, grief — including grief among caregivers — and anger management, with a particular focus on children and adolescents, though I work with adults too. My approach to therapy is solution-focused and results-driven: I work in short-term frameworks designed to help you grow, not to create dependence on therapy itself. My goal is for you to leave with real tools — better judgment, clarity, and the ability to regulate and manage life's challenges on your own. I draw from DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed care, but I believe you should have a say in what works — together, we'll find the approach that fits you best.
