About me
I have over thirty years of experience as a therapist, with a doctorate specializing in counseling psychology. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a broad spectrum of disorders, from anxiety, depression, attachment disorders, anger, and relationship issues to more extreme and complex conditions.
In my approach to therapy, I am guided by the belief that each person possesses an innate understanding of their aspirations and potential.
I am committed to helping clients navigate their unique paths with dignity and integrity. Central to my practice is the belief that the client-therapist relationship is built on respect, motivation, honesty, and genuine care. This philosophy shapes every aspect of my work, ensuring that clients feel supported and empowered throughout the therapeutic journey. I believe people have an inner sense of who they want to become and for what they are striving.
In my professional experience as a therapist for over three decades. I have observed that people often seek a deeper understanding of their true selves and a desire to live authentically. They are on a quest to unlock their full potential and find a sense of purpose that brings meaning to their lives. Many individuals reach a point where they feel disconnected from longtime friends or begin questioning the beliefs and values instilled in them by their families of origin. This journey towards self-discovery and personal growth can be challenging and rewarding.
Not having a strong sense of self can lead to self-doubt, internal conflict, negative self-talk, feelings of inadequacy, and isolation. Furthermore, comparing oneself to others on social media can heighten these emotions, leading individuals to feel even more alone.
Therapy offers the opportunity for self-acceptance and the development of differentiation skills, enabling individuals to disentangle from societal or familial expectations and be their true selves. It facilitates confronting insecurities and shedding pseudo-self-behaviors. Through therapy, individuals can discover their intrinsic value and effectiveness, as well as identify their passions and sources of vitality. Furthermore, it fosters an understanding and appreciation of life's daily moments.
Let's all embrace and savor our unique journeys!
