About me
Dedicated mental health clinician with a passion for helping others.
Throughout our lives we will all experience times of great joy and sadness, but how many of us really know what to do with those situations emotionally? My approach to therapy is realistic and person centered; of course we want to get to root issues, but first we need to "stop the bleeding" and get our daily lives to a more functional point.
My clients describe me as knowledgeable, trustworthy, and kind; they would say that therapy sessions are conversational and flow easily, and that they don't come to the sessions worried about, "what am I going to talk about??", they know we always have a plan and direction.
Together, we can work on identifying how you feel about yourself through self-esteem and self-worth explorations, examine how you learned about emotions and how were they modeled for you, identify problematic thought patterns (Example: rumination, negative self-talk, intrusive thoughts), and work to reframe these thought patterns and utilize healthier coping skills.
