About me

I am a bilingual Marriage and Family Therapist who has training and experience in working with young children, teens as well as providing Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

I received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Wheaton College, IL. Shortly after graduation, I spent my first year and a half as a Marriage and Family Therapist in training (MFT-IT) at a non-profit community mental health service in Madison before I joined Living Well Counseling Services in 2025.

Through clinical work and personal reflection, I learned and experienced that it’s common and normal to feel scared to show people who we really are. In that fear, our bodies may get small and constricted, and we would want to hide, narrow our life choices, or push back anyone who comes close, especially when we still feel the weight of distressing memories of the past. At the same time, I have also witnessed the power of “being with” instead of “doing to” each other in fostering resilience to break free from fear and isolation and thrive from life’s challenges. In therapy, my approach to our therapeutic journey is characterized by warmth, curiosity and compassion. Our goal together is so that you may experience a greater sense of having a choice and build connection to yourself and others again.

When I am not working, you can find me working out with my husband and friends, taking care of our small plants on the deck, creating knitting and crochet projects and hanging out with our cat.
