About me
I am a dedicated and compassionate virtual private practice therapist, specializing in guiding clients through life transitions, fostering self-esteem, managing anxiety and depression, and offering additional expertise in trauma-informed care.
Hello, I'm Jessica Todd, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. Outside of my professional life, I cherish moments spent with loved ones, indulge in diverse reading, share my days with my dogs, nurture a growing collection of houseplants, enjoy offbeat films, savor music, find solace in coloring, and find creative expression through bullet journaling.
I earned my Masters in Counseling from the University of Colorado and have honed my expertise in grief, women's issues, anxiety, depression, and self-concept. I firmly believe that counseling is a transformative force for everyone, fostering happiness and building healthier communities.
As your therapist, I extend my services to adults in Washington State through online therapy. My approach is characterized by authenticity and support, offering a secure space for you to express your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
My specialization lies in assisting individuals navigating life's transitions – be it in relationships, self-discovery, family dynamics, motivation, or managing anxiety and grief. Employing a client-centered therapy model, I serve as a facilitator and guide, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings within a safe and nurturing environment.
I draw from a rich toolbox of techniques, including active listening, reflective questioning, and empathetic understanding, all tailored to help you gain deeper insights into yourself and your experiences. Together, we will identify the most suitable tools to integrate into your daily life, fostering healthy coping mechanisms and addressing daily anxiety and motivation.
I highly value the consistency of weekly sessions to maximize our collaborative efforts and help you achieve your goals within your preferred timeline. Humor is a valuable element I incorporate into our sessions, fostering a comfortable and open atmosphere.
Clients often report a sense of enhanced comfort, authenticity, and confidence following our work together. They apply the skills acquired during our sessions to navigate challenges and make positive life changes. If you find yourself in need of support and guidance during a period of change, I am here to offer my expertise and support you on your journey.
