I specialize in healing from psychological abuse and other forms of complex trauma.

My approach to therapy is depth-oriented. While I do not believe that insight in and of itself is curative, I do believe it’s a necessary first step in the healing process. Once we gain insight into the roots of our problems, we can begin to respond intentionally when in a state of emotional flashback rather than automatically reacting with fight, flight, freeze or fawn. I believe the therapeutic alliance should be one that fosters self-discovery and healing in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

I am experienced in assisting people in recovery from both complex childhood trauma and adult relational trauma. I am well-versed in the insidious nature of emotional/psychological abuse. Recovery from narcissistic abuse is a major focus of my practice, and I offer specialized expertise in post-separation abuse and co-parenting with a narcissist.

When recovering from complex trauma, you want a therapist who is an expert in subtle psychological abuse and its impact. Proper psychoeducation and recognition of how past experiences influence present functioning are paramount in resolving the cognitive dissonance that makes these experiences so difficult to move past.
