About me
I am a licensed clinician, supervisor, and consultant with more than two decades of experience providing trauma-informed treatment, behavioral assessment, and therapeutic intervention for adolescents and adults. My work integrates advanced clinical practice with a strong academic and research background in trauma, emotional and behavioral disorders, co-occurring conditions, sexual behavior treatment, and culturally responsive counseling. I specialize in working with high-risk and vulnerable populations, using evidence-based approaches including CBT, TF-CBT components, motivational interviewing, and DBT-informed strategies. As a full professor and counselor educator, I bring a scholarly perspective to my clinical work, ensuring that my treatment planning, supervision, and program development reflect current best practices. I am committed to supporting healing, fostering resilience, and empowering clients to achieve meaningful personal and emotional growth.
