Jessica Balmir, LMFT, CCTP, CCATP

Hi! I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in the state of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Tennessee. I have been working in the counseling and mental health fields for over 12 years. I have experience working in residential and outpatient settings, mobile crisis, respite and peer services. I also have my own telehealth private practice where I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma related issues, relationship/communication challenges, and life transitions. I work with individuals dealing with a wide range of challenges with the goal to support and empower my clients toward interpersonal and personal growth.

My counseling style is warm and collaborative. I believe in creating a non-judgmental space and treating everyone with respect and compassion. I also believe that growth is truly possible when you are ready to put in the work towards making a meaningful and positive transformation in your life. My focus is helping individuals and couples heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths and resiliency. This is done while understanding and overcoming the adverse impact of everyday stressors and past experiences that come up in our journey to well-being. This is achieved by listening to your concerns, working collaboratively and using varying approaches such as solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and psychoeducational counseling. I will tailor your journey toward your goals to meet your unique and specific needs.
