About me
35 years of experience with an expertise in relationship dynamics treating individuals, couple and families.
My approach includes exploring how attachment issues, trauma and current life stressors impact functioning and relationship dynamics. I use a combination of talk therapy, mindfulness, body awareness and EMDR to help clients recognize impact of past trauma and attachment issues and improve ability to manage triggers and reactivity. Extensive history and training in treating couples with issues surrounding communication, alienation, parenting and affairs. My approach will help you to move from the stuck places to begin living a more self actualized life and experience your relationships with more clarity and self awareness. Couples learn to move from rupture to repair and communication strategies that allow for deeper connection and empathy.
I specialize in relationships and help individuals navigate online dating and work dynamics. This work will help you better identify what other people's behavior may mean about them and what you can expect in the future. We will identify strategies to help navigate relationships with difficult people and increase your understanding of how to improve boundaries and awareness of the behaviors that serve to undermine self protection. We will also explore attachment style and strategies for managing internal triggers that can lead to reactivity and undermine relationships. My clients report seeing marked improvement in their ability to attract and sustain healthier relationships with partners they feel secure with.
Sessions are in person or virtual and both day and evening appointments are available. Currently accepting UHC, UMR, Oxford, Cticare and Optum plans. All other insurances are out of network and a super bill will be provided to obtain reimbursement directly from insurance if eligible. I am happy to provide a telephone consult to establish how this approach can help you and/or your relationship.
