About me

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Employee Assistance Professional helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, break unhealthy patterns, and create meaningful change through compassionate, collaborative, and practical therapy.

Life can be complicated. Therapy doesn’t have to feel that way.

Maybe you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns you can’t quite seem to change. Perhaps you’re navigating relationship challenges, questioning your career, struggling with confidence, or trying to make sense of a difficult life experience. Or maybe, from the outside, everything looks perfectly fine, but internally, something just doesn’t feel right.

Whatever brings you to therapy, you deserve a space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and explore what’s happening in your life without fear of judgment.

A Little About My Approach

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and I believe therapy should feel like a genuine conversation rather than a clinical interview.

My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and direct when appropriate. I believe meaningful progress happens when clients feel comfortable enough to be honest, curious enough to explore their experiences, and supported enough to challenge patterns that may no longer serve them.

I work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective. I don’t believe our struggles define us, nor do I believe the coping strategies we’ve developed are necessarily signs of weakness. Often, the ways we respond to stress, conflict, and relationships developed for understandable reasons. Together, we can explore where those patterns originated, how they’re affecting your life today, and what you might want to change.

Therapy isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters to you.

Relationships, Attachment Styles & Couples Counseling

Relationships are often where we experience our greatest connections—and some of our greatest challenges.

I work with individuals and couples who want to better understand their relationship dynamics, improve communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier emotional connections.

Our attachment styles and earlier relationship experiences can influence how we connect with others, respond to conflict, express our needs, and experience emotional intimacy.

You might recognize yourself in patterns such as people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, fear of abandonment, emotional withdrawal, seeking constant reassurance, or repeatedly finding yourself in relationships that leave you feeling unfulfilled.

Understanding these patterns can be an important step toward changing them.

In couples counseling, I help partners explore recurring disagreements, communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, and differing expectations. My goal is to create an environment where both partners feel heard while developing greater awareness of how their individual experiences and behaviors influence the relationship.

Whether you’re working through challenges together or exploring relationship concerns individually, therapy can help you approach your connections with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

Career Stress, Burnout & Navigating Professional Life

One area of my practice that brings a unique perspective to my work is my extensive experience in corporate mental health and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

As a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, I’ve worked with employees, leaders, and organizations navigating workplace stress, interpersonal conflict, burnout, difficult professional relationships, crisis situations, and significant life challenges.

This experience has reinforced something I see frequently in private practice: our professional and personal lives are deeply interconnected.

Workplace stress doesn’t always end when the workday does. Feeling undervalued, navigating difficult leadership dynamics, questioning career decisions, or trying to meet everyone’s expectations can affect our confidence, emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life.

I particularly enjoy helping individuals who are accustomed to being the dependable one, the problem-solver, or the person who appears to have everything together, even when they’re struggling internally.

Whether you’re facing professional burnout, career uncertainty, perfectionism, work-life imbalance, or the pressure to constantly achieve, we can explore ways to establish healthier boundaries, reconnect with your priorities, and make decisions that support both your personal and professional well-being.

Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem & Life Transitions

Life rarely unfolds exactly as we anticipate.

Sometimes the challenges we face are connected to a specific event, such as a breakup, loss, career change, parenting difficulty, or major transition. Other times, we find ourselves experiencing anxiety, sadness, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion without fully understanding why.

I help clients explore the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and behaviors that may contribute to these struggles.

Areas I frequently address include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, negative body image, self-esteem, confidence, codependency, perfectionism, academic pressures, parenting challenges, and uncertainty about the future.

I also work with adolescents and young adults navigating academic expectations, identity development, relationship concerns, and the pressure of making decisions about college, careers, and adulthood.

Together, we can identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping strategies, develop healthier perspectives, and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Trauma & Brainspotting

Difficult experiences can continue influencing how we feel, think, and respond to the world long after those experiences have ended.

I’m trained in Brainspotting, a brain- and body-oriented therapeutic approach that uses focused visual attention and awareness of internal experiences to support the processing of emotional distress and trauma-related symptoms.

For some clients, incorporating Brainspotting into therapy may offer an additional way to explore experiences that feel difficult to process through conversation alone.

My approach to trauma work prioritizes emotional safety, collaboration, and respecting each client’s individual pace and readiness.

A Whole-Person Perspective

I believe our emotional well-being is influenced by more than just our thoughts. Our relationships, physical health, environment, personal history, values, and sense of purpose all contribute to how we experience life.

Because of this, I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that each person brings a unique combination of strengths, challenges, experiences, and goals.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to meaningful personal growth. I tailor evidence-based therapeutic strategies to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular treatment model.

Let’s Start Where You Are

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy, and you certainly don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Sometimes, seeking support is simply about wanting to understand yourself better, strengthen your relationships, feel more confident in your decisions, or approach life differently.

My goal is to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself, gain new perspectives, and work toward changes that genuinely matter to you.

Not sure if we’re the right fit? Let’s connect!

I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can briefly discuss what you’re looking for in therapy, answer your questions, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
