About me
One of my favorite quotes about therapy reads, "The true counselor seeks to understand people from the standpoint of appreciation...it is like inviting the traveler in from a snowy and chilly journey to sit for an hour before the fire." This is my approach. I strive to provide a warm, non-judgmental presence with the curiosity and tools to help you free yourself of what you think you "should" be and accept and love who you are. I will support you in learning to cultivate deep and meaningful relationships and find safety in vulnerability and connection.
My career has focused primarily on helping individuals overcome significant trauma and build a sense of empowerment. Curiosity and empathy are my priority, going at the pace most comfortable for you. I work in the here and now to stay mindful of the experience of both the mind and the body, bringing integrated healing to both.
My clients have ranged across all ages and cultures, including those suffering from anxiety, self-esteem difficulties, sexual trauma, intimate relationship challenges, psychosis and personality disorders. I provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals and utilize a sex positive lens. I look forward to hearing your story and supporting you in healing.
