About me
Jennifer Ouellet provides therapy for individuals, couples, adolescents, & families. She specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, addiction recovery, life transitions, and self-esteem. Jennifer also offers Gottman-informed couples counseling and support for those struggling with communication difficulties, trust issues, infidelity, and emotional disconnection.
Jennifer is known for creating a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment for people who may feel like they do not fit in or have struggled to find a place where they feel understood.
As someone with both professional expertise and lived experience in recovery, with complicated grief and trauma, Jennifer believes healing happens through connection, self-awareness, and learning practical tools for change. She works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves, improve relationships, manage difficult emotions, and move toward a more peaceful, fulfilling life.
Hi, I’m Jennifer. I know reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and it is important to me that clients feel comfortable, accepted, and genuinely understood from the very beginning.
I work with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, low self-esteem, and feeling “stuck.” I also enjoy working with couples on communication, trust, conflict, intimacy, and rebuilding after betrayal or infidelity using Gottman-informed methods.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and direct, while still being compassionate and nonjudgmental. I strive to create a space where people can be themselves without fear of being criticized or misunderstood. Many of my clients have felt like they never quite fit in, and I am passionate about helping them feel safe, accepted, and empowered.
In addition to my professional experience, I also bring lived experience in recovery, complicated grief and trauma which helps me connect with clients in a genuine and authentic way. I believe people are capable of change, healing, and growth, even when life feels difficult or overwhelming.
My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and move toward a life that feels more peaceful, meaningful, and fulfilling.
