About me
Helping you feel heard, understood, and supported.
Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the journey. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to be yourself, share your story, and know that you don't have to face life's challenges alone. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward hope, healing, and meaningful change.
My path to becoming a counselor was shaped by my own family's experience navigating a loved one's mental health challenges. Like many families, we experienced the uncertainty, fear, and hope that can come with supporting someone you love. My husband and I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find the right counselor—not only for the person who is struggling, but also for the family members walking alongside them. While every journey is unique, our experience taught me the value of having someone who listens with compassion, offers steady support, and helps you navigate even the most difficult seasons. That experience inspired me to become the kind of therapist who helps people feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life's most difficult seasons.
Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, communication challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to navigate those challenges on your own. I believe therapy is built on trust, compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and identify practical steps toward healing, resilience, and lasting growth. Every person has a unique story, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they move toward a life filled with greater hope, healing, and purpose.
My approach is person-centered and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to provide practical, evidence-based strategies while always keeping our work grounded in a genuine therapeutic relationship.
I enjoy working with adults, couples, and teens, and I have a special appreciation for the unique experiences of military members and their families. Living within the military community has given me insight into the challenges of deployments, PCS moves, reunification, and the many transitions military life can bring.
If you're ready to take the first step, I would be honored to walk alongside you as we work toward hope, healing, and meaningful change.
