About me

Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas, providing virtual care and specializing (she/her) in assisting clients overcome emotional dysregulation ("too big" emotions, overwhelm, suicidal and self-harming urges) and executive dysfunction (time management, planning and prioritizing, procrastination) that are related to diagnoses such as ADHD and BPD with a focus on emotional regulation and practical support strategies.

🌿 About Me
I became a therapist out of a genuine desire to help individuals navigate emotional challenges with clarity, purpose, and support. Over time, I’ve come to believe that distress often stems from imbalance — when one area of life demands too much attention while others are neglected. Whether shaped by trauma, illness, or difficult transitions, my role is to help clients restore equilibrium and reconnect with their strengths through structured, compassionate care.
I’ve been a Licensed Master Social Worker in Kansas since 2002 and have practiced as a therapist since 2013. After passing my Clinical Social Work Exam in July 2025, I’ll transition to Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) within the next 30–60 days. I primarily work with teens and adults and hold a special interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals — particularly those navigating ADHD, executive functioning challenges, borderline personality disorder (BPD), identity development, and emotional regulation.

🧠 How I Work
My therapeutic style is structured, empathic, and nonjudgmental. I tailor each session to meet the needs of the individual, blending psychodynamic principles, CBT, and mindfulness with creative tools like guided imagery and workbook exercises. Clients who feel hesitant or resistant often find sessions gentle yet affirming, with space to explore without pressure.
I believe therapy should leave you feeling heard, understood, and valued — especially if you’ve struggled in areas others seem to manage with ease. Sometimes the most powerful takeaway is knowing it’s okay to not be okay. That message alone can become a foundation for healing.

📚 Credentials & Continuing Education
To deepen my practice and better serve clients, I’m completing certifications in both ADHD treatment and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These trainings expand my clinical ability to support emotional regulation, motivation, and interpersonal difficulties — particularly among clients managing symptoms of BPD and ADHD concurrently. As I transition into LSCSW status, I’ll be eligible to accept most insurance plans and broaden access to care.

🌍 Session Format
All therapy sessions are offered by phone or secure online video. This format helps reduce barriers such as transportation, work conflicts, and social anxiety. Many clients find virtual care makes it easier to open up, without the pressure of face-to-face vulnerability. My goal is to create an emotionally safe and affirming space — wherever you are.
I am LGBTQ+ affirming and use she/her pronouns.

💳 Insurance & Billing
I practice through Affiliated Family Counselors in Wichita, KS, that provides administrative support for billing and scheduling. Appointment reminders are available upon request. Once I transition to LSCSW status, I will be able to accept most insurance plans. I also offer self-pay options and reduced rates for clients paying out of pocket, to ensure therapy remains flexible and accessible.

In our sessions, you’ll find space for vulnerability, reflection, and growth. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating life transitions, or just trying to understand yourself better, I’ll meet you with warmth and structure. My hope is that every client walks away with deeper insight, increased self-compassion, or simply the reassurance that they are not alone.
You are not broken. You are not too much. You are a person with intrinsic worth, deserving of care, clarity, and healing — wherever your journey begins.
