About me
I’m a therapist with 25 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, addiction, life transitions, and the emotional toll of loving someone who struggles.
I’ve been working in mental health for over 25 years, and at this point in my career, I know one thing for sure: most people don’t come to therapy because something is “wrong” with them. They come because life has gotten complicated, overwhelming, or painful in ways that are hard to navigate alone.
My practice focuses on working with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction (including nicotine use), and major life transitions. I also specialize in supporting people who love someone with an addiction—partners, spouses, adult children, parents—who often find themselves exhausted, conflicted, and unsure how to care for themselves without feeling selfish or guilty.
I have a particular interest in working with women navigating midlife transitions, including perimenopause and menopause. This stage of life can bring changes in mood, identity, relationships, and energy that are frequently minimized or misunderstood. Therapy can be a space to make sense of those shifts, reduce anxiety or low mood, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.
My style is collaborative, thoughtful, and direct. I aim to create a space that feels safe and nonjudgmental, while also being honest and meaningful. I don’t believe in quick fixes, but I do believe in therapy that helps you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, develop compassion for yourself, and make real changes that improve how you live day to day.
I draw from evidence-based approaches and integrate insight-oriented work with practical tools, always tailoring therapy to the person sitting in front of me. Whether you’re feeling stuck, burned out, grieving a loss (including losses that don’t always get named), or trying to break patterns that no longer serve you, we’ll work together to understand your experience and move toward something more steady and intentional.
If you’re looking for a therapist who brings depth, experience, and a very human approach to the work, I’d be glad to connect.
