About me

Finding balance in the lives we lead is essential to leading healthy lives. Sometimes in the everyday stress of daily life, it's difficult to find that balance. As a therapist, I work with clients to help them find the best treatment plan for their individual problems.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia. I've been providing services in private practice since 2013 and really enjoy working with military families, teens, and those in the LGBTQ community. In my experience, a collaborative approach works best for most treatment plans. My approach utilizes mostly Narrative therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-focused therapy, and most of the treatment plans I collaborate with include psychosocial education and some lifestyle changes.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. My educational background from Capella University includes a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy as well as a Master's degree in Psychology. Having completed an active duty tour in the Air Force, and then serving as an Air Force spouse for twenty-one years, I have a unique understanding of military culture. As a parent, I understand how difficult it is to manage professional time versus personal time.

For those seeking to use insurance as payment, I provide services through SonderMind, and for those willing to pay out of pocket I have my own digital private practice. Please text me your information to see if we're a good fit for therapy.
