About me
I am an experienced anxiety therapist who helps adults feel calmer, more grounded, and in control.
You’re used to being the one others rely on: steady, capable, and dependable. But inside, it feels very different. The constant worry, racing thoughts, and pressure to hold everything together are exhausting. You might notice your body tensing up, your mind jumping ahead to worst-case scenarios, or your heart racing when stress feels unmanageable. You want to feel calmer, more in control, and more like yourself again, but you’re not sure where to start.
That’s where I can help. I’m Jennifer Brady, LCSW, and I specialize in working with adults who struggle with anxiety, stress, and the challenges of navigating life’s transitions. For over 12 years, I’ve helped clients find relief from the weight of worry and reconnect with a calmer, more grounded version of themselves.
My Approach
I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and practical. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that fuel your anxiety and create new ways to respond that help you feel more in control. I use evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), combined with tools for stress management and coping skills you can use right away.
In our work, you’ll learn how your thoughts and habits of overthinking affect your emotions, and you’ll practice strategies to shift those patterns. If you’re carrying difficult or overwhelming experiences from your past, EMDR can help you process them in a safe, structured way, so they no longer feel as heavy or disruptive.
Therapy with me is collaborative. I’ll never just “sit back and nod.” Instead, I’ll listen with care, ask thoughtful questions, and offer tools, insight, and strategies tailored to your unique needs. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and approachable.
What You Can Expect
A welcoming, compassionate space where you don’t have to pretend you’re “fine.”
Support in slowing down racing thoughts and easing tension in your mind and body.
Practical coping skills you can use between sessions to feel more balanced.
A path toward understanding yourself more deeply and reconnecting with what makes your heart feel lighter.
A Little About Me
In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have over a decade of experience specializing in anxiety therapy for adults. My career has been dedicated to helping people find relief from overwhelming worry and stress and create lasting changes that support emotional well-being.
Outside of my practice, I live in Connecticut with my husband and love spending time by the lake, exploring hiking trails, and enjoying quiet moments with family. These connections help me stay grounded and remind me of the same balance I work to help my clients find.
Moving Forward
Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re already overwhelmed. But taking this step is a sign of strength; you don’t have to keep carrying it all on your own. Together, we can create space for healing, growth, and relief.
If you’re ready to slow down, breathe easier, and feel more like yourself again, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this journey.
