I work with clients who want to improve their relationships with themselves and others through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Specialties include: couples counseling, discernment counseling, healing after divorce or break-up, and Imposter Syndrome. Additionally, I specialize in Inner Child Work and post-traumatic growth after divorce.

I am passionate about working with people( couples and individuals) who want to improve their lives and relationships. My style is collaborative and dynamic. I'm far from a sit and nod type of therapist. I utilize attachment science to identify attachment styles and relationship triggers to make the pieces of your puzzle make sense to you and your partner. I work with clients who find themselves having the same arguments over and over. My clients are busy, hard-working people who often excel professionally, but may find balancing the demands of their careers and family challenging. Often, my clients find that they struggle with intimacy, division of labor and sometimes report that they start to feel like "room-mates or co-parents". It's almost never about who did the dishes. Contrary to popular belief, it's also usually not just about "communication skills." In my experience, good communication doesn't mean a thing when there is an unresolved conflict or trigger around whatever you are struggling with. I work with clients healing from betrayal, such as infidelity and other related attachment wounds. So much about our experience in life is related to the way we feel and getting to the root of those feelings is where the healing occurs. My specialty is in seeing patterns and utilizing my deeply empathic nature to compassionately listen and use language to frame experiences in a way that evokes insight, healing and change. Everything about my practice is tailored to you. I work online only to be able to offer my clients counseling from the comfort of their own homes as well as non-traditional business hours during evenings and some weekends. My private practice does not accept insurance of any kind. Insurance companies operate from a medical model that requires a diagnosis of a mental health disorder. In general, they require the focus of our work to be on that diagnosis and they do not pay for work that is not " medically necessary." I chose the name Authentic Way with the intention of being just that….authentic. Rather than being limited by the parameters of an insurance company in terms of the amount of time we can meet, how often and what they consider necessary, I work for my clients.
