About me
I have been a licensed mental health counselor since 2006. As a therapist, I use a socio- cultural cognitive behavioral approach to address the issue that each person presents. My humanistic approach focuses on one’s strengths to overcome the challenges that become obstacles or conflicts to the progress the person seeks. I frequently address issues of anxiety and depression, alcohol, marital conflicts including infidelity, career choices ( mostly with college age students)and self concept concerns.
I have been practicing in the human services field for over 40 years, in various capacities. My experience has shaped my approach into the type of therapy I practice. All therapy can work. However it is the relationship between the client and therapist, the therapeutic alliance, that makes it effective. I believe in that connection, I want to help each person reach their emotional peace.
