I am a dedicated clinician who excels at psychotherapy with men and women, late teens, adults, seniors, couples, and families. I am skilled in the treatment of many mental health conditions and encourage you to start your therapy journey today!

I am a licensed clinical social worker by profession and have been licensed to practice independently in the State of Maryland since 2004. Aside from my devotion to the clients of Tree of Life Counseling, where I have been Lead Therapist since 2013, I previously operated a private practice here in Baltimore called "Mantalk Coaching," where I provided coaching and counseling to men and their families.

With over 25 years of experience as a clinician, writer, educator, and lecturer, formerly in New York City and presently in Baltimore, I have held positions as a university faculty member and in clinical and social services settings both in the public sector and for private corporations. Through providing therapy to individuals, couples, children, and families at Tree of Life Counseling, I utilize my professional skills as critical and powerful tools as methods for clients to think through aspects of their roles in society, at home, and in the workplace, and their meanings in their relationships and responsibilities with others. I employ various psycho-educational disciplines and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic practices to support and improve client functioning and wellness.

I began my career in New York City as a case worker serving the elderly and disabled populations. While residing in New York, I served in positions such as Community Social Worker at a senior center, Clinical Social Worker at an inner-city hospital, Lead Clinical Social Worker at a dialysis center, Director of Senior Services at a multi-purpose senior center, and Manager of Clinical and Case Management Services for a large social service agency serving Greater Baltimore.

As a graduate of Adelphi University School of Social Work and Suffolk University School of Journalism, I carry the Social Work principles that allow clinicians to motivate their clients to embrace treatment as they move towards dynamic change. With a tender heart and a heaping tablespoon of humor, keen intuition, and clinical expertise, I can often zero in on what needs to be clarified, shifted, or totally overhauled in an individual, thus allowing for greater insight, measurable achievement, and attaining overall improved wellness.
