About me
It takes COURAGE to seek out therapy and face your challenges. We also need COURAGE to trust a stranger to fully listen to you and treat your concerns with care and respect. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am here to work as a team to overcome barriers/obstacles. Therapy can be both challenging and rewarding. As your therapist, I will provide an empathetic ear, help find solutions, discuss underlying issues, identify unrealistic expectations placed on you or the world around you, teach coping skills and be a therapeutic ear as you build the COURAGE to face your challenges.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University with a specialization on Student Development and Higher Education. I have worked with children, adolescents, students, parents, and families since 2008 in numerous settings including school, home, and community environments. I have extensive experience with children and adolescents who are experiencing depression, anxiety, self-injurious behavior, aggression, trauma, social and educational struggles, attention difficulties, oppositional behaviors, truancy issues, and legal issues. We focus treatment on empowering our clients with courage to face their challenges and encourage their families to utilize their strengths to make change and not just survive, but to no longer fear their challenges.
