About me
I would imagine it can make someone looking for a therapist a little anxious about the process, after all, it is tough to trust when you really don't know the person you are considering as a therapist. I promise to answer any questions you may have about my qualifications. I specialize in clients that struggle with anger, trauma, relationship/marital conflict and families in conflict or needing help with child behavioral issues, Also, adult and children survivors of sexual abuse or domestic violence.
I have been a therapist for 28 years, I am married and have two adult children and five grandchildren as well as two dogs, Trooper and Gracie. I have worked in the past as a paramedic and currently work with first responders. I also work with Veterans from the Viet Nam era to Veterans from more current conflicts. In the past I worked with the courts has a divorce mediator, and currently, I work with parents ordered for custody issues. I held classes for men found guilty of domestic violence and work with women that have been battered or abused physically or sexually. I work with children that were abused physically, mentally and sexually. As part of that work, I also worked in foster care and adoption and family reunification programs. I was trained in a marital program called Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (P.R.E.P.) I enjoy working with couples, families, children and teens. I also work with clients that have anxiety either social or general and people that struggle with panic attacks, as well as, people tormented by depression.
I want perspective clients to know that I am non-judgmental and want to work together with them to design a treatment plan that will accomplish their goal for seeking a therapist.
