About me
Hello, and welcome! I'm a licensed therapist with eight years of experience in the behavioral health field. I became fully licensed in 2021 and have enjoyed helping clients develop insight and change behaviors through their journey with me. I started my professional life as an educator in 2003, but life had a different path and I discovered my passion was to provide psychotherapy to individuals across the lifespan. I treat ages 10+ and assist individuals understand their moods, develop strategies to manage them, or simply provide a safe space and a listening ear.
Hi, I’m Jeannette
Life can be complicated. Sometimes we find ourselves overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns that no longer serve us, struggling in our relationships, or simply wondering, *“How did I get here?”* Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and begin moving forward.
I’m a licensed mental health counselor with nearly a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people during some of the most challenging—and sometimes most transformative—moments of their lives. I don’t believe therapy should feel cold, clinical, or intimidating. I want my clients to feel comfortable being themselves, knowing they will be met with compassion, honesty, and without judgment.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe you already possess strengths and abilities that can help you navigate difficult seasons; sometimes, you just need the right support to recognize and build upon them. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, and DBT, while always tailoring therapy to the person sitting across from me.
I especially enjoy working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate relationships, identity, independence, anxiety, mood changes, and the many expectations that come with growing into who they are. I also work with adults who may be facing life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, or simply feel like they've lost their sense of balance.
Most importantly, I believe therapy is a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to walk alongside you—not tell you how to live it. Together, we can explore what's getting in the way, build practical tools for managing life's challenges, and create a path toward feeling more confident, connected, and grounded.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. You just have to be willing to take the first step.
