About me
Hi, I’m Chioma Agu, PMHNP-BC, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Find Your Balance Center for Growth & Change. I bring over 10 years of experience in behavioral health, with a clinical background that includes inpatient, outpatient, residential, emergency, and crisis care settings. I support adults navigating a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and mood-related disorders. I hold both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing, with an emphasis in Leadership and Management.
My approach is grounded in creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I prioritize culturally responsive, non-judgmental care and have extensive experience working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe that identity, lived experience, and environment all play an important role in shaping mental health.
Through a thoughtful and collaborative process, I work alongside you to deepen self-awareness, strengthen coping strategies, and support sustainable, meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy strength training, traveling, and spending time with my family and community.
