About me
I am accepting new clients. All good psychotherapy or counseling has certain things in common: supportive listening, empathic understanding, and unconditional positive regard. Additionally, if you choose to work with me, we will seek out and heal the painful or traumatic experiences you lived through while growing up. These experiences likely contributed significantly to what you are currently facing: depression, anxiety, anger, jealousy, sexual issues and addictions, and even simple procrastination. Of course, whatever crisis you are facing needs a lot of attention, but this crisis has a history that is relevant to healing.
I have over two decades of experience as a psychotherapist helping individuals, couples, and families. If you choose to work with me, we will resolve the issues troubling you today, by neutralizing the trauma or painful events in your past. These are the roots from which problems such as rage, anxiety, panic, addictions, and depression grow. These, in turn, affect how we are in all of our relationships and how we operate in our daily lives. I developed my own psychotherapy approach, "Parts and Memory Therapy". I have written books about it such as: "Parts and Memory Therapy The Clinical Guide", and " Healing Amelia". This approach emphasizes that the mind is naturally divided into smaller units, called Parts, voices, subpersonalities, or ego states. It is very effective in treating trauma. I am also trained in EMDR. In Nevada, I am a State approved Primary Supervisor.
