About me
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with individuals who are ready to make real changes in their lives—whether that means breaking anxiety cycles, healing relationship patterns, or finding clarity during major life transitions. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I meet you where you are and build a treatment plan that actually works for your life.
I specialize in evidence-based therapy that moves beyond insight into action. My primary modalities are:
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — for clients ready to stop fighting their anxiety and start living aligned with their values
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and building emotional flexibility
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — for breaking the thought-behavior cycles that keep you stuck
• Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) — for couples and individuals working on deeper relational patterns
I integrate these approaches based on what research shows will actually help you—not because I'm attached to one method.
What I Specialize In:
• Anxiety & worry (including relationship anxiety, health anxiety, and perfectionism)
• Relationship challenges (communication breakdowns, intimacy issues, conflict patterns)
• Couples therapy — helping partners reconnect and build genuine intimacy
• Depression & low mood — especially when it's rooted in disconnection or life misalignment
• Life transitions (job changes, relocations, identity shifts, major life decisions)
• Emotional regulation — learning to work with your emotions instead of being controlled by them
• Trauma-informed care — approaching past wounds with gentleness and evidence-based healing
How I Work
Sessions with me aren't just about venting or processing. We get curious about why patterns exist, then we build concrete skills to change them. I give homework. I challenge you (gently). I believe real change happens between sessions when you practice what we've learned. I'll be direct with you, and I'll expect you to be honest with yourself.
You can expect:
• A safe, non-judgmental space (judgment helps no one)
• Clear goals and measurable progress
• Practical tools you can use immediately
• Collaboration — you're the expert on your life; I'm the expert on how to change it
• A therapist who actually knows what he's doing and will tell you what he thinks
Clinical Supervision
Beyond my therapy practice, I provide individual clinical supervision to LPC candidates and early-career counselors. If you're working toward licensure or building your clinical skills, I offer structured, experienced guidance to help you develop confidence, meet your requirements, and become the therapist you want to be.
