About me
I am passionate about partnering with you in order to restore peace and connection within yourself and in your relationships!
With warmth, compassion, and curiosity I will join you in learning who you are and who you hope to become. I help both individuals and couples to restore inner peace and calm, and to feel greater security and connection in their relationships.
Are you finding yourself constantly stressed and overwhelmed? You feel like you’ve tried everything so that you can be more calm, but yet when you put your head on your pillow at night your mind is flooded with panic, fear, and worry? It feels like no matter what you do, you can’t shake the underlying anxiousness that is always present? Have you found that in your relationships it seems to get even worse?
You are not alone.
I am here to have hope on your behalf when you may feel like you have none left. As a fellow human who has her own history with anxiety and relational distress, I am ready to hear you.
With experience working in both community-facing non-profits and clinical settings with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs, I am here to support you.
MY APPROACH
My primary lens for both individuals and couples is rooted in Attachment Theory. This is the idea that our earliest attachments (usually mom and dad) act as the blueprint for how relationships are supposed to look and feel. Exploring how safe or unsafe these early relationships felt can help us better understand why we may deal with anxiety and relationship issues as adults.
I also hold the conviction that even though many of us have experienced our deepest hurts because of relationships with others, I believe that our greatest healing can happen in relationships.
That is my view on the counseling relationship— it is meant to be a safe and secure relationship that can model a new way of relating. For some, you may have never felt true safety and security with others, whether with friends or romantic partners. When safety is experienced in counseling, it can help to re-wire what healthy relationships are meant to feel like so that you can have safer, more secure relationships with yourself and others.
