Jared Wilke, PsyD.

My name is Jared Wilke, Psy.D. and I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California and Texas. I am currently practicing at Family Counseling Center for over 10 years, which has served the North County community in outpatient counseling for over 25 years. I enjoy working with teenagers and young adults, their families, as well individuals and people seeking marital therapy.

Choosing someone who has the clinical expertise to deal with your specific concerns is an important decision. I combine this expertise with personal and caring treatment. My goal is to successfully assist in the adjustments and transitions that may be necessary for you and your family. I specialize in individual, family, and adolescent therapy.

I use a wide range of interventions and treatment modalities including Family Systems, Psychodynamic and CBT (along with a few others). My main approach to therapy is to help my clients resolve the issues and problems that they are facing in their life. I look at therapy as basically problem solving, with working together on figuring out the best approach to working through difficulties clients are facing. I also provide Christian Counseling for clients who would like that therapy perspective.

I enjoy being able to help people and give good guidance to help treat issues that many people face such as depression, anxiety, OCD, parenting issues, family conflicts, and more. I prefer to provide action items for clients to use to help them while in-between appointments. I see my job as helping people gain improvement and reducing symptoms as quickly as possible, so they can rely on their new skill sets to move forward in a healthier way.
