About me
I am a clinical psychologist who helps adults and teens navigate anxiety, relational conflict, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
Have you been feeling stuck between seeking connection and avoiding rejection? Do you have an overwhelmingly negative inner critic who makes it hard to feel loved and accepted? Maybe you crave external validation and say yes when you want to say no because confrontation feels terrifying. It must feel exhausting and incredibly isolating. Therapy can offer insight and tools for transforming this pattern. I strive to help you feel more grounded in your relationship with yourself and others.
I help people who are struggling with communication, people pleasing, and low self-esteem to understand their role in relational dynamics and connect to their true desires. I provide a safe space to explore patterns and cultivate the self-awareness that will support you in building healthy relationships. I have experience with concerns like dating anxiety, healing after a breakup, setting boundaries, and effective communication.
In addition, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for queer people to work through the unique challenges that the LGBTQIA+ community faces, including minority stress, discrimination, and stigma. In our work together, we will explore the ways in which your sexual orientation and/or gender identity intersect with other axes of identity, like race, culture, and religion. You'll have the space to explore your identity, heal from rejection and discrimination, and build self-esteem.
I have years of experience with providing individual therapy to adults and teens. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research. I also offer psychodiagnostic and ADHD evaluations. Throughout my clinical training, I worked in a variety of diverse contexts, including hospitals, university counseling centers, and outpatient mental health clinics, where I treated a variety of concerns. As a therapist, my ultimate role is to help you process your emotions and view them as messengers who carry important information. I will also support you in tolerating difficult emotions and using your values to guide your decisions.
