I am licensed in Arkansas with nearly 30 years of professional work experience. I have spent the majority of my career in university counseling centers, but since 2020 I have branched out into the world of contract work, through a local hospital, employee assistance programs, and most recently Better Help.

Working through Better Help means I get to primarily focus on the types of problems I have the most success with: depression and anxiety (especially due to irrational beliefs and over-thinking), relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, religious conflict, nightmares and dream interpretation, anger management, & low self-esteem.

Issues that I do not work with include
-addictions (particularly drug addiction and porn addiction)
-physical illnesses and their impact on mental health
-same sex attraction (including individuals who do not wish to have
their same sex attraction affirmed)
-sexual identity questioning
-sexual intimacy problems

For the past 25 years I have also provided couples therapy as well as premarital counseling. I really like working with couples, but naturally both of you have to be committed to the process. I have limited success with couples who are dealing with infidelity, and do not have the training or experience to help couples with physical intimacy issues.

I believe that the best therapy comes from collaborating together, where I listen and give feedback, and where I provide a place where people can feel safe and be absolutely honest.

I am personable, very chill, and do not push people. I have a high rate of success and I love what I do. I am very open to feedback. I don't fish for compliments, I want to make sure you are getting what you need from working with me. Your time and your money should be well spent.

I check messages throughout the day, so I am particularly good at getting back to people in a very short amount of time.
